FY 2010 Budget Outlines Pass in House and Senate On April 2, 2009, the House and Senate passed their respective versions of the 2010 fiscal year Budget Resolution. The Senate version passed by a vote of 55 to 43. The House version passed by a vote of 233 to 196 vote. The next step is for House and Senate Committees to iron out the differences between the two resolutions. CSLF terminates its participation as a FFELP Lender
Susie Mae, the lending division of the Connecticut Student Loan Foundation, is terminating its participation as a lender in the Federal Family Education Loan Program effective for the fall 2009-2010 Academic Year. Click here to read CSLF's official statement.

CSLF Prepared as Lender of Last Resort
The Ensuring Continued Access to Student Loans Act of 2008 (ECASLA) has expanded Lender of Last Resort (LLR) provisions to allow the possibility of institution wide designation. While CSLF remains optimistic that the enactment of the Ensuring Continued Access to Student Loans Act of 2008 (ECASLA) along with stabilization in the credit markets will make institution-wide LLR unnecessary, CSLF stands ready to serve our borrowers and school partners as lender of last resort, if necessary.
