About the CONNECTICUT STUDENT LOAN FOUNDATION

The Connecticut Student Loan Foundation is a non-profit corporation that administers, guarantees, and finances loans within the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP). CSLF promotes access to higher education by helping students and their families plan for and pursue a postsecondary education. CSLF has more than 40 years of experience providing assistance to students, parents, and industry partners.

About CSLF Guarantor Services

CSLF Guarantor Services, the loan guaranty division of the Connecticut Student Loan Foundation, provides customized support and services to borrowers and industry partners throughout the nation.  CSLF's role as a guaranty agency expands far beyond the guaranty and delivery of student loans.  While we remain focused and dedicated to our traditional responsibility of insuring federal student loans against death, disability and default, our core functions have expanded to include:  promoting college access for all students, preventing student loan defaults for all borrowers, processing loans to ensure timely delivery and compliance, providing training and support services to industry partners, distributing loan information and application materials to educate borrowers, supporting community outreach activities, and much more.  

About SUSIE MAE

Susie Mae, the lending division of the Connecticut Student Loan Foundation, provided affordable borrowing solutions for students and families throughout the nation. Susie Mae offered reduced rate federal loans and provided comprehensive tools and resources to help educate borrowers and promote successful repayment. Susie Mae Loan products through the Summer 2009 term included: Federal Stafford Loans, Federal PLUS Loans for parents, and Federal PLUS Loans for graduate and professional students.

Susie Mae will not be lending for the fall 2009-2010 academic year.  Susie Mae is accepting loan applications through the summer 2009 term only.  Please contact your financial aid office for additional assistance in obtaining a loan for the fall term. 

About Invest in your Future

Invest in your Future (IF), CSLF’s college planning services division, provides free outreach services regarding college planning and the financial aid process. The IF program is designed to promote college access and awareness, and includes a college planning resources center and library, a toll-free hotline, community presentations, materials distribution, online resources, and much more.
